CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The assemblage of a antheral who had been missing for 24 hours was recovered Monday wrong a Chevrolet Corvette that was submerged successful a pond successful Clay County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

FHP said the man’s household went looking for him and noticed harm to a motion astatine an intersection and car parts successful the roadworthy successful the Lake Asbury area.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team was astatine the pond located adjacent the intersection of Russell Road and Henley Road connected Monday evening and removed the car from the pond.

According to the FHP report, the car collided into a curb and went into the pond adjacent Russell and Henley roads astatine astir 2 a.m. Sunday. The antheral was said to beryllium 58-years-old and a nonmigratory of Green Cove Springs.
